North Huron council has decided they will not be paying the outstanding repair invoice at the Columbus Centre.

The issues were addressed during a recent meeting about the Wingham Columbus Centre.

A size of work at the centre was not set in the budget and it does not align with the townships bylaws relating to the purchasing of goods, services and construction.

In 2019 the township applied to the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program to address some issues such as installing energy efficient lighting, installing a sound system with acoustic panels with both projects completed and invoices paid by North Huron using the program funding.

A remaining invoice of $74,145.91 was determined to not be part of the original ICIP project.
