OHA set to see new Senior OEHL Hockey League launch this Fall

The teams at launch for the league are ten former WOAA Senior teams including Durham, Lucknow, Milverton, Ripley, Saugeen Shores, Seaforth and Tavistock and 2 new teams in Thornbury & Erin.

The Ontario Hockey Association is set to see the Ontario Elite Hockey League begin play under its umbrella in two months.

The goal of the launch is to ensure Senior AA hockey across Ontario’s small towns thrive.

The goal says Kyle Wynette, President of the Tavistock Royals team, and defending AA Champion of the former WOAA, is to evolve their band and grow & bring their game to a bigger audience.

The teams at launch for the league are ten former WOAA Senior teams including Durham, Lucknow, Milverton, Ripley, Saugeen Shores, Seaforth and Tavistock.

There will also be 2 new teams in Thornbury with a Georgian Bay team and Erin.

The league will play a 22-game regular season set to begin on October 6th.
