The second annual open water swim to Old Woman Island in Stokes Bay goes this Sunday.

The 1.6 kilometre swim from Sandy Beach in Black Creek Provincial Park begins at 10 a.m.

Despite the name, the swim is open to all ages, and costs $25 to register. The closing date for registrations is tomorrow.

In honour of residential school children, all proceeds will go towards the Kabaeshiwin Women and Children’s shelter. The fundraising goal is currently set at $3500.
