The Ontario Government is investing over $4 million dollars across the Province to help support victims & survivors of intimate partner violence, human trafficking and child exploitation.

The funding is through the Victim Support Grant program and will see the OPP in Goderich receive $100,000.

The funding will see the Police in Goderich enhance their knowledge & support of victims and survivors as well as focus on the urgent need of addressing the rising incidents of gender-based violence within the community through preventative awareness, community engagement and collaborative efforts.

Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson says ensuring that victims receive the support they need is key to the healing process.

She adds the Grant Program is one of the many actions they are taking to combat crime and ensuring public safety across Ontario.
