A 25-year-old from Cambridge has been charged with operation while impaired after a rather visible single-vehicle collision in Port Elgin over the weekend.

Saugeen Shores Police responded to a call around 11 a.m. Sunday morning of a collision near the intersection of Market St and Harbour St.

Images show a car seemed to reverse into a sign post. Police say no one was injured in the incident.

The driver also faces charges for refusing to comply with a breathalyzer request and driving without a licence. They were released with a future court date and the car was towed.
