The OPP Communication Centre is advising it is seeing a significant increase in 911 hang-ups.

They advise it may be linked to a recent update to phones running the Android OS that turns on Emergency SOS. With it on you could easily dial 911 without knowing it.

Please check your phone and disable this feature. This will ensure 911 lines are available for life-threatening emergencies.

All you need to do is go your settings and Search for Emergency SOS.

Then disable the feature.
