OPP charge Teenager with Impaired after Reports of Assault in Parking Lot in Exeter

The Huron County OPP have charged a 17-year-old with impaired operation after a traffic stop in late July.

Officers were responding to reports of an assault in a parking lot on Main Street North in Exeter on July 29th at around 1:15 am when they spoke with a vehicle driver.

They failed a roadside screening device test and were placed under arrest.

A 17-year-old male from London is facing charges of impaired operation with blood alcohol over 80 mg.

They also face offences related to the graduated licensing program.

Their vehicle has been towed and impounded for a week, and their license suspended for 90 days.

They face a future court date in Goderich.
