A Goderich man is facing a number of charges in connection to a theft at the Goderich airport.

Huron County OPP say they were notified about a suspicious person at one of the hangars at the airport early Thursday morning around 7:40.

Officers located a vehicle that was leaving the airport property and made a traffic stop.

A search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of numerous stolen tools, copper piping, copper wire, scrap metals, stolen ignition keys and other items.

Officers also seized a quantity of suspected methamphetamine.

A 34-year-old was arrested and later released with a November 8th court date in Goderich.
