Grey Bruce OPP have arrested and charged two impaired drivers over the weekend in Meaford.
On December 9th just before 9pm, police received a report of a parked vehicle with a man asleep at the wheel on Sykes Street.
The man was arrested and taken to an OPP detachment for tests which has resulted in the 38 year old from Owen Sound charged with operation while impaired, two counts of possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a scheduled III substance.
On December 10th police again responded to another report of someone asleep at the wheel, this time on Nelson Street.
While speaking with the driver it was determined they were drinking with the 70 year old woman from Meaford charged with operation while impaired.
Both were given future court dates in Owen Sound.
