The Huron County OPP saw strong support both in-person and financially to its recently held Torch Run that was held in Huron County last Wednesday.

The force along side Special Olympics partnered with family members, friends and community supporters from all over Huron County to raise awareness and funds for the Special Olympics.

The run is the largest awareness and fundraiser for the cause. This year Torch Run Co-Ordinator Seargent Russell Nesbitt reported a total of just over $5,000 was raised. The event saw participants start in Wingham, then head to Blyth, Clinton and Goderich with everyone taking part in a celebration BBQ at McGee Motors.
