As we head into the Long Weekend, OPP are reminding boat enthusiasts to be safe across the waterways.
Grey Bruce OPP are promoting Safe Boating Week and will be out patrolling the water making sure safety is on top of everyone’s mind with a heavy focus on wearing a life jacket.
OPP say 80 per cent of Canadians who drown while boating were either not wearing a life jacket or not wearing them properly.
Safe Boating Week runs from May 14th-20th.
