Four drivers in South Bruce were charged with impaired driving over the December-long campaign, the same number as last year.

The Huron detachment charged seven drivers.

Middlesex and Oxford led the West region with 43 charges handed out. Overall, 278 people were charged, a slight decline from 280 impaired drivers getting caught in 2021.

The campaign encourages drivers to make a plan to get a safe ride home. Police ask if you suspect someone is driving impaired, to call 9-1-1.
