OPP West Region release results from Labour day Long Weekend Traffic Campaign

The OPP West Region released the results of its recent Labour Day Long Weekend Traffic campaign.

The Region’s 13 detachments laid a total of over 2400 charges, stemming from over 2500 traffic stops made from September 1st to 4th.

The campaign focused on the Big 4 bad driving behaviours of aggressive, distracted & impaired driving as well as not wearing a seatbelt.

Speeding led the way in terms of the number 1 charge with 1450 charges, seatbelts was next at 128 followed by impaired and distracted and impaired driving.

The OPP thanks drivers who made the right choice to protect themselves, their families and fellow motorists by driving safely.
