Southern Bruce County residents are still being hit by fraud with over $100,000 being lost this year by locals.
Between January 1st-March 20th, residents have lost $162,150 to cons and scams with a series of scams being reported to South Bruce OPP over the last week including $13,250 being lost from an online investment scam and another $4000 sent to a scammer to a grandparent scam.
In 2023 Canadians lost a reported $554 million to fraud and with only 10 per cent of fraud being report, the actual dollar losses are considered much higher.
