The Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority is sending their thanks to all the volunteers who helped plant trees at the Stoney Island Conservation Area.

With staff and volunteers more than 3000 native trees and shrubs were planted to help restore the forest after 7000 ash trees were removed due to emerald ash borer.

SVCA is also sending thanks to the Kincardine Cross Country Ski Club for showing up and digging in.

The conservation authority adds everyone is helping build a more resilient forest for the future, one tree at a time.
