The federal and provincial government are investing more than $1 million from the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership to support the productivity and growth in Ontario’s maple syrup sector.

Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson marked $55,297 in the partnership for four local businesses to boost efficiency of local operations.

In a release Thompson says by supporting our maple syrup producers in this way they are working to help them tap into their potential to grow their businesses.

Ontario is the third largest maple syrup producing province in Canada behind Quebec and New Brunswick.
