Diana Sweets in Listowel is still reeling in all the damages from the accident on Friday morning which saw a commercial motor vehicle strike the building.
The driver was taken to hospital without life threatening injuries and was the only reported injury.
Operator Tami Cressey says despite the damage, the restaurant remains in good shape with their heads held high.
Diana Sweets is hopeful to be reopened by the end of the month pending approval from engineers as the owners do not wish to risk the safety of their customers.
Tami adds the kindness from the community for both her and Matt as well as support to first responders has been amazing to see.
