Paris Ontario Resident Arrested in Huron East

Huron County OPP have charged a Paris resident with several criminal offences following a report of a suspicious person on a rural property last week.

On January 31st after 9pm, police responded to a report on Newry Road in Huron East with homeowners arriving home to find a woman and a pickup truck on their property.

The woman had asked for fuel and if she could charge her phone. Police arrived and found the truck was stolen from the Kitchener area.

As a result the 43 year old from Paris being charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000, Trespassing at Night and Failure to Comply with a Probation.

The accused was released from custody and given a future court date in Goderich.
