It turns out a pair of accused shoplifters were carrying more than a few items that they did not pay for.
Saugeen Shores Police were notified about two people seen taking items from a shelf at a business in Port Elgin last Friday.
Officers were given a description of the suspect vehicle and they were able to locate that and the two occupants in another part of town.
The pair were placed in investigative detention where an ensuing search turned up a quantity of suspected fentanyl on one person.
Investigators also found a collapsible baton and stolen license plates inside the vehicle.
A 29-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman, both from Owen Sound, were charged and will appear in court at a later date.
