As Fraud Prevention Month continues, OPP are urging residents to take steps to avoid being victims of fraud and various scams still making their rounds around the community.
Among scams include spoofing caller ID information to come off as a local number, business or government agency with the goal to build false trust.
OPP say to never trust caller ID as numbers can be manipulated, let unknown calls go to voicemail and never provide personal or financial information.
