Police recover over $60,000 in stolen property from Seaforth home

The Huron County OPP say they seized various stolen property, prohibited weapons, and drugs from a Seaforth residence, with an estimated value of over $65,000.

Officers executed a search warrant yesterday afternoon along Harpurhey Road, resulting in charges for a 45-year-old and 55-year-old resident of Huron East.

The stolen items located included a 2015 Kawasaki motorcycle, a new Lennox air conditioning unit, Stihl chainsaws and a 2022 travel trailer. Police estimate the combined value of the recovered property is $64,000.

Officers also seized two imitation pellet handguns, a taser-style weapon, various throwing knives, .22-calibre ammunition, and a set of lock picks, along with a quantity of suspected cocaine.

The 45-year-old man faces charges for possession of break-in instruments, weapons and property obtained by crime.

The 55-year-old also faces charges for possession of stolen property as well as possession of a schedule 1 substance.

The accused are scheduled to appear in Goderich court next month.
