Grey Bruce OPP remain on patrol in the Howdenvale Area of South Bruce Peninsula following a heavy police presence who are looking into a break and enter incident.
Police were in the area just after 7pm on Tuesday asking the public to stay away as officers carried out duties and anyone in the area being asked to following instructions of any officers on scene.
Initial investigation suggests there is no threat to public safety but residents in the area are asked to stay vigilant.
If any suspicious activity is scene, the public is urged to contact police.
