Police Respond to Well Being Check

One person is in hospital for treatment believed to be stroke related.

On August 22nd at around 11:14am, Saugeen Shores Police were called for a wellbeing check in the area of Green Street and Bricker Street.

Police arrived to the area and requested assistance of the mobile mental health response team and paramedics.

Officers noticed concerning signs to something related to a medical issue and able to convince the individual to go to the hospital.

Once at the hospital, they were given new clothing and observed new concerning symptoms who was taken to a larger hospital.

Police are sending their thanks to those who called police to report the concern.
