Unemployment in the Stratford-to-Bruce-Peninsula region saw a slight bump last month.

According to the Four County Labour Market Planning Board, the unemployment rate was a 3.9 percent, up from 3.6 percent in July.

There was a net decrease of 1,800 jobs mostly in full-time work.

The Planning Board believes the job losses, which are the biggest in 2021, ay be due to seasonal jobs.

The provincial unemployment decreased to 8.6 percent.
