The Town of Saugeen Shores says they are one step closer to helping support housing for all their residents.
The community’s Housing Reserve received $50,000 today from Rice Development Corporation, the builder that is constructing the Westlinks subdivision on the east end of Port Elgin.
They say the Housing Fund is part of a comprehensive strategy to make housing accessible to all residents.
Mayor Luke Charbonneau says this funding is much needed as the Town looks to build more residential homes.
Company Principle Rod Rice says of the donation that Rice Development has invested in Saugeen Shores for over a decade and they understand that diverse forms of housing better serve the community as a whole and let everyone contribute to the town’s success.
