The Salvation Army in Goderich is holding a Winter Coat drive in support of those in the community without one.

Items can be dropped off to the Goderich or Clinton Public Library, and at the Salvation Army Goderich Citadel and Thrift Store.

Kendall Strome, Supervisor of Community & Family Services speaks to the benefit they offer with having the donated coats.

“It’s very handy because we have people who just walk in, and maybe they ended up here for whatever reason and they not very much and we can be like we have a coat. We are lucky because we have the Thrift Store we work with to give free coats when needed.”

Items can be donated at the drop boxes at various locations until October 13th.

Those in need of items heading into winter can contact the Salvation Army Community & Family Services in Goderich either via email to kendall.strome@salvationarmy.ca or by calling 519-524-2950.
