Sauble Beach Driver faces slew of charges after stop in Saugeen Shores

Driver was stopped after plate found to not match the vehicle. 37-year-old also faces possession of a weapon contrary to being prohibited, obstructing an officer, 2 for failure to comply with an undertaking and a probation order and more.

The Saugeen Shores Police have arrested a 37-year-old of Sauble Beach after they found their vehicle’s plate didn’t match the vehicle.

Officers on general patrol on Tuesday evening were conducting a check on his plate on Goderich Street when they were alerted to the issue.

During the traffic stop around 7:30 pm the problems got worse when the driver failed to surrender their license as well as provided a false name.

They also did not provide a vehicle permit or insurance card.

They face charges of possession of a weapon contrary to being prohibited, obstructing an officer, 2 for failure to comply with an undertaking and a probation order as well as impersonation and multiple provincial offence charges.

They have been released with conditions and a future court date.
