Saugeen First Nation council has approved the first phase of their plan to upgrade their fibre optic internet to solve connection issues customers have been experiencing.
The initial phase will include upgrades and replacements to existing technology and infrastructure as well as introducing systems to manage and monitor further issues.
Council says a member of their communications team will be contacting Driftwood internet customers to authorize the sharing of info with service providers and let you know if a visit will be needed to upgrade equipment.
If Phase one goes smoothly, phase two should begin this spring and will include new pricing models for customers.
