The Town of Saugeen Shores approved a Zoning By-Law amendment for a property at 154 Concession 10.

It was a retroactive approval as the 3 additional residential dwelling units contained in the amendment were already built without obtaining a prior permit or approval.

The dwellings were constructed for live/work opportunities on the property.

Although Council approved the request Councillor Divinski said this to the whole process.

“It’s a wonderful building but I have this problem of don’t ask for permission, ask for forgiveness and the town gives in every time. It could very well be the way of doing business these days but I am having a problem accepting that.”

A related County Official Plan Amendment in regards to the property was considered by their Planning & Development Committee and approved back on September 21st.

It permitted the 3 additional residential units as well.
