Saugeen Shores Council approve hiring of consultants for their two recreation projects

The Town of Saugeen Shores have retained the services of a pair of consultants to oversee their two major recreation projects.

At Tuesday’s night, Committee of the Whole meeting, Council awarded the contracts to Salter Pilon Architecture Incorporated for the Aquatic and Wellness Centre at $1,366,875.00, and Landscape Planning Limited for Phase Two of the Lamont Sports Park Project at $191,308.80.

Mayor Luke Charbonneau says he is excited to reach another milestone in these two important projects.

The wellness centre will have a six-lane, 25-metre pool, a walking track, and gym.

Phase Two of the Lamont Sports Park will see two new youth baseball diamonds built.

The recommendations is expected to be ratified by Council on June 13th.
