The Saugeen Shores Memorial Hospital Foundation looks to be smashing a Guinness Book of Records for the longest line of cookies after an attempt was held Sunday at the Coliseum in Southampton.
The existing record was 3,328 cookies and was set in China back about 4 years ago.
On Sunday, participants in the attempt were able to arrange 4,048 cookies in a line.
This beats the previous record by 720 cookies.
The evidence, which consists of photos and video along with the paperwork have been submitted to Guiness and they expect to hear back within a week.
The cookies were supplied by both the local Southampton Foodland and Voortman Cookies.
