Saugeen Shores Police announce arrest of Serial Shoplifters after months long Spree

On October 2nd a 42-year-old male of North York was arrested by the OPP in Wingham. A second male, a 43-year-old also of North York, has been identified.

The Saugeen Shores announce arrest of suspected wanted in at least a dozen shoplifting incidents around Ontario between July and October.

Locally an incident on August 3rd saw thieves steal from a Grocery Store in the area. During the investigation it was revealed the two had taken just under $5,000 in Baby Formula and Electronic Toothbrushes.

Following a zone alert to neighbouring police other grocery stores began contacting police about the same two men in their stores and also the loss of thousands of dollars of items.

On October 2nd a 42-year-old male of North York was arrested by the OPP in Wingham.

A second male, a 43-year-old also of North York, has been identified.

Total value of items stolen is believed to be more than $20,000.

Warrants are now being sought for the outstanding suspect.

The investigation is ongoing.
