Saugeen Shores Police lay several charges after Report of Suspicious Activity

Police were called to a suspicious vehicle on Sunday, March 13th at 4:30am near the Southampton Tourist Camp over concerns that people may be breaking into the mobile homes.

The Saugeen Shores Police were called to a suspicious vehicle on Sunday, March 13th at 4:30am . The vehicle was located near the Southampton Tourist Camp.

The complaint was concerns that people may be breaking into the mobile homes.

Police attended the scene and one of the two vehicles were learing the area. A traffic stop was conducted at that time.

As a result of the investigation a 41 year old from Bruce County was charged with two counts of theft under $5,000, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of break-in instruments and posession of a schedule 1 substance.

A 43 yerar old from Bruce County was arrested and charged with operation of a vehicle while prohibited, use of a plate not authorized, four counts of theft under $5,0000, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and possession of break-in instruments.

Police say all lot owners affected by this incident have been contacted.
