Saugeen Shores Police remind of No Dogs on Area Beaches & Leashed Requirement

Owners who permit their dogs to be on the beach or at large will be subject to fines.

The Saugeen Shores Police Service reminded residents and visitors that dogs are not permitted on the beaches within the Town of Saugeen Shores between May and October. The fine is $100 if found on a beach while prohibited.

They also advise that elsewhere dogs must be leashed at all times. The fine is $100 if they are not.

Owners who permit their dogs to be on the beach or at large will be subject to fines.

The Police advise that they and By-Law Officers will be monitoring the beaches and will be issuing tickets to people failing to comply with these bylaws.
