The Town of Saugeen Shores is set to see a visit of the Tall Ships on June 28th, 29th and 30th.
They invite everyone for the chance to see the historic, traditionally rigged sailing ships at the Port Elgin Harbour.
The reason for the visit is thanks to Brigs, who operates the two vessels TS Playfair and the STV Pathfinder as sail training vessels for youth.
The vessels will each carry a complement of 28 people, which include 18 new youth sailors aged 13 to 18 years, 4 petty officers, 6 wardroom officers and the Captain.
The ships were built by Francis A. McLaghlan with the Pathfinder launching in 1963, and Playfair in 1974.
The later was launched in the presence of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
