After 7 months and still no decision on where to place buildings for the Cedar Crescent Harbour project at the Port Elgin Main Beach, a hearing has been requested.
The Town of Saugeen Shores has requested the hearing with staff of the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority in order to expedite a decision.
Experts have not come to a conclusion on the Floodline Hazard Assessment and the Dynamic Beach Hazard, meaning further design work has been put on hold.
This has created a significant delay in the projects timeline.
Once council receives the final design it will go through Site Servicing Approval in order to acquire permits.
