The Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority has issued a flood outlook on the Saugeen Watershed for the rest of the week.

Given the increase of rain and above freezing temperatures are bringing snow melt which will result in above seasonal water levels throughout the watershed over the next few days.

Temperatures are expected to continue to rise and with it around 20-25mm of rain between Wednesday and Thursday.

While significant flooding isn’t expected watercourses could reach or exceed full conditions.

The public is asked to stay away from all watercourses and structures such as bridges, culverts and dams as high water levels, fast flowing water and slippery conditions along watercourse banks are extremely dangerous.
