The South Bruce Grey Health Centre has temporarily closed its Durham Emergency Department and will repeat the action due to staffing issues in addition to the Walkerton ED.
The Durhan ED closed this afternoon at 5pm and will re-open on Wednesday at 7am. Heading into the weekend it will close overnight from Saturday, September 16th to Tuesday, September 19th.
It will close each day at 5pm and re-open the next morning at 7am. The Walkerton ED faces similar closures from Thursday, September 14th to Sunday, September 15th with identical overnight closures.
The Chesley ED has already been temporarily closed and will re-open on Monday, September 25th at 7am.
Ambulance by-pass will be undertaken during each closure to take patients to the nearest open Emergency Department.
