The Lucknow and District Chamber of Commerce have finished a landscape mural on Campbell Street.
The idea for a downtown mural was first pitched in September of 2020 and to have two done.
Local artist, Rachel Simpson completed the six piece 16 by 10 canvas in her home studio over the course of several weeks and then assembled on site.
The mural features a sunset over an agriculture scene incorporating a scotch thistle of the Scottish heritage within the community, the rolling hills of South Kinloss and wind towers of Ashfield which ties in with the Huron-Kinloss mural at the intersection of Campbell and Inglis Streets.
The Chamber of Commerce says these two murals enhance the overall area and draw more attention to Lucknow’s retail sector.
