If you thought it was unseasonably warm last month, you aren’t alone.

The Eric Soulis Memorial Weather Station at the University of Waterloo states last month was the second warmest December on record.

Temperatures were 4 degrees Celsius warmer than the average for the month which was first recorded in 1988.

The warmest day was recorded on December 9th with the average of 11.6 degrees and the coldest being December 13th with the low of -6.9.

Snowfall was also a record low with just 4cm of snowfall in December, a significant drop than the average of 13cm and the lowest seen since daily snowfall records back to 2001.
