The province is dishing over $7 million in Seniors Community Grants with over $80,000 going local within Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound.
MPP Paul Vickers says the funding will strengthen local opportunities for older adults to build meaningful connections, stay healthy and continue making valuable contributions across the riding.
Funding includes;
- $ 5,650.00 – Municipality of Grey Highlands – Age-Friendly Senior’s Health Fair in Markdale
- $14,562.00 – Meaford Public Library – Free monthly seniors art workshops
- $25,000.00 – Paisley’s Trinity Theatre – Intergenerational workshops bringing youth and seniors together
- $19,850.00 – Wiarton Propeller Club – Senior’s fitness classes, cooking workshops, digital/financial literacy
- $15,238.00 – Wikwemikong Tribal Police Service Corporation – Providing safety education and resources
Seniors Community Grants projects are designed to increase independence, reduce social isolation and create positive connections.
