A Saugeen Shores Police officer has been cleared by Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit.
This stems from a Christmas Day incident where the officer attempted to stop a vehicle with no license plate which later crashed into a Bricker Street residence.
A female passenger in the vehicle suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash.
SIU Director Joseph Martino says in a news release that they found no grounds to lay any charges to the officer.
The driver of the vehicle, a 46-year-old of no-fixed-address, was charged by police.
