The Huron County OPP is advising that the Special Investigation Unit has invoked its mandate after an incident on Wednesday morning.
Officers in the Huron Detachment were involved in an investigation in Huron East and Central Huron around 8:30 am.
At around 10:30 am, Officers interacted with two individuals, and as a result one of them was injured.
The other person remains outstanding.
Police advise that they believe there is no immediate threat to public safety.
The OPP has notified the SIU.
As a result, they will not be able to provide any further information.
All inquiries will now be directed to the SIU.
