South Bruce OPP Easter Traffic Safety Campaign Results

South Bruce OPP has wrapped up their Easter Long Weekend traffic safety campaign.

Running from March 29th-April 1st OPP were seen in increased presence along the roads watching for traffic safety violations with a particular focus on seat belts.

Over the long weekend South Bruce OPP charged 3 drivers and 2 passengers for failing to wear a seat belt.

Other charges laid over the weekend included;

  • 54 charges for Speeding
  • 2 charges for Driving while under Suspension
  • 1 motorist charge d with Impaired Driving
  • 1 motorist charged with Distracted Driving
  • 123 total charges, 53 warnings issued

There were no crashes reported over the safety campaign.
