South Bruce OPP kept busy with Powerful Winter Storm this Weekend

A Police Cruiser was struck while on the shoulder of Highway 21 in Saugeen Township at 2:05pm . The cruiser had it's emergency lights activiated as the officer was investing a collision. No injuries were reported.

Each Winter Bruce County residents face some of the toughest driving conditions around.

A powerful Snow Squall passed over the area on Saturday and between 1:24 and 5:13pm that day Officers responded to 21 calls involving collisions, vehicles in the ditch or stuck. Non-life threatening injuries were reported in one of the scenes.

At 2:05pm on Saturday a police cruiser was struck while on the shoulder of Highway 21 in Saugeen Township. The cruiser had it’s emergency lights activiated as the officer was investing a collision. No injuries were reported.

Police say an attentive driver with a properly equipped vehicle is a good start for driving in winter weather, but there are times that you need to postpone non-essential travel during powerful winter storms.
