The Southampton Rotary Club is now host to a 16-year-old Rotary Exchange student from Japan. Rei Kaneda arrived on August 21st and now begins her one year adventure including attending Saugeen District Secondary School as a grade 11 student for the full 2023-24 school year. She is an avid softball player who has been on the diamond six times a week with her Kurayoshi high school team. Rei has already found the summer cooler in Saugeen Shores than it has been in her home of Kurayoshi in the prefecture of Tottori. Rei will be staying with four host families while she is here, three of which are already approved. If your family would be a good fit to host Rei in the months of January to March contract Dave Bertrand at the Southampton Rotary Club.
