The Southampton Rotary Club helped provide a safe haven for the Coastal Conservation Youth Corp over this weeks heavy rain storm.
With the remnants of Hurricane Beryl which swept across the area the rotary club offered their hall free of charge for the Corps so they could continue their work and studies uninterrupted.
The Youth Corps had a week planned for outdoor activities on the towns shoreline which had youth aged 13-18 to learn more about diverse ecosystems and dynamics while working to conserve and restore these special places.
Program Organizer Kerry Kennedy says they were grateful for the rapid response from the Southampton Rotary Club who allowed them to continue their work despite the weather.
