The Southwest Grey Health Centre is holding an upcoming info session on Thursday revolving around Elder Abuse.
The Elder Abuse Protection Info Session will be held at the Ripley-Huron Community Centre going from 1:30-3:30pm.
Amber Jackson, a social worker with the Southeast Grey Health Centre and Co-Lead of the Elder Abuse Prevention Network says elder abuse is just like any other way of abuse it all of its forms.
“Elder abuse its the same as pretty much any other type of abuse. There’s financial, physical, emotional, mental, sexual all those types of abuses and we’re seeing more and more that as we have an aging population” said Jackson
Those interested in attending are asked to register by the end of the day Wednesday.
