The Student Start Up Program is back for its 5th year with the Saugeen Economic Development Corporation.

The program operated by Saugeen Connects is done in partnership with the SEDC and 7 municipalities which includes South Bruce, West Grey, Hanover and more for students looking to start a business.

Rose Austin, General Manager of the SEDC says successful applicants will receive start up costs funds and extra support with more cash incentives.

“They will receive $150 to start their business to assist with start up. We also run 5 workshops over the summer and the workshops cover topics like basic budgeting, customer service, how to monetize TikTok, using AI for your business and creating your own vision board.” Austin.

The program is open to any students from grades 6-12 who live or attend school within the municipalities eligible.
