Today is the day elementary and secondary school students are back in class since the Christmas holiday break.
Schools have been closed in response to the rise in the number of COVID 19 cases in the region.
Students are being required to self-screen before entering the building, and to properly wear a mask while inside.
Students and staff will be receiving rapid antigen kits.
Parents are being advised to check on school buses as some consortiums are facing driver shortages.
That could result in cancellations on some routes.
